A-ha Lifelines Tour

Following two warm up shows at the Oslo Spectrum and London's Royal Albert Hall earlier in the summer, the band departed for a smaller scale club tour, before the whole production reconvened in Leipzig for the final leg.

The lighting design by German LD Jojo Tillman, was a highly successful asymmetric rig, featuring four "belts" fashioned from aluminium pipe and mesh, which incorporated LED video wall panels in the upstage belt - a prime example of the increasing convergence of video and lighting.
The lighting system consisted mainly of VL5s and VL6s, with 8-lites for overhead washes and audience blinders. Each belt unit was lit by fluorescent LHGL Despar units, with tubes in four different shades.

The rig was run from two WholeHog 2 consoles by Jojo and co-operator Timo Martens. The lighting crew chief was Ulli Klöse and the lighting crew consisted of myself, Doug Brimblecombe and Markus Hoch. A truly international crew, with members from Norway, England, Australia and Germany !
